Your animal enemies are usually much larger, irradiated versions of common wildlife - Mole Rats, Radscorpions, Cazadores, Mantises, Bloatflies, Lakelurks, Geckos - and of course, Deathclaws. In the Wasteland, you find irradiated EVERYTHING - food, water, and sometimes whole areas are irradiated and dangerous to enter without taking proper precautions. The game is littered with Vault-Tec ads, featuring their mascot, Vault Boy. The lucky people rushed to their pre-reserved spots in vaults, large underground fallout shelters built by a company named Vault-Tec - those who weren't so lucky either died, scratched out a meager existence in the ruins of a dead civilization, or were transformed into irradiated zombies (either feral or friendly).
In 2077, there was a major worldwide nuclear war, with the primary aggressors being the U.S. The Fallout universe diverges from ours in what appears to be a futuristic version of the early 60's nuclear scare (complete with cars, art, and music evocative of the era). I plan to create a ever growing repository of stories from individuals from many communities and walks of life. Try to open doors to things that people are not familiar with by leading by example. Beyond personal documentation, and to facilitate my own personal growth, the goal of this project is to try to facilitate growth in everyone. It’s easy to become self-centered in the world we live in today. I feel that when we open our eyes to the experiences beyond our self we can undoubtedly understand the world and our self that much more. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others.” One caveat to personal growth is that we can become so wrapped up in it that we exclude the one of the most important facets of it, other peoples experiences and what they can teach us. Pushing our boundaries and getting out of our comfort zone is, I believe, essential to learning and growth, both mentally and physically. I believe that learning are these experiences. Our beliefs, our personality, who we are as a person is shaped by what we experience. I’ve asked myself over the years what I felt that definition really meant to me, what does it mean to have varied learning and become the best version of yourself? I believe learning is more than what your degrees dictate, what schools you have attended. According to Merriam-Webster the definition of a Polymath is a person of great and varied learning. Polymath Mission I’ve always been interested in the word polymath and renaissance man.
